Dallas Arboretum

Today we went to the Dallas Arboretum. We had so much fun and it was very beautiful. Today was the start of the Autum Festival and they had a pumpkin patch and hay maze and other fun fall activities. It was a much needed family outting. This has been a rough week for our family. One of Max's football players was killed and three injured. So he has been dealing with a lot at school this week. My grandmother is very ill and her kidneys are failing. She requested to go home and refused treatment on Monday. The hospital sent her home with Hospice that evening. Although this has been hard for my family to deal with, she is much more comfortable at home.

On a lighter note...Bre is changing everyday!
1. She has learned to clap her hands,
2. She is trying to pull up on everything she can (we had to lower the crib because she figured out that she could stand up and reach over the side),
3. She's almost crawling (she can roll and wiggle her way across the floor, but hasn't quite figured out the entire crawling thing yet)
4. She can feed her self (puffs, cherrios, peas & carrots, bread)
5. She say's dada and momma distintively (plus I think I have heard papa and nana)
6. She can catch and roll a ball
7. She sleeps all night (10-12 hours) by herself in her crib

We love seeing her learn and discover new things. Every day is an adventure to her! She loves life and is just so happy. She brightens each and everyday.

Breanna, Mommy and Daddy love you very much. We are so thankful that God brought you into our lives. We are truely blessed to be the parents of such a beautiful, sweet, and loving little girl!

Here are some pictures that we took today at the Arboretum. I highly recommend it to everyone! It is so beautiful...and a great place for families.

First Football Game!

Last Friday (9/14/07) Bre attended her very first football game! Max's team was playing, so we went to cheer Daddy's boys on! GO TEXANS! Bre did so good, even though we stayed up WAY past her normal bedtime. She was very well behaved and loved watching all the people in the stands. Even though Daddy's team didn't win, we met him after the game and told him they did a great job. WE LOVE YOU DADDY!

Momma

Bre has finally started saying "Momma"!!!!!! I thought I heard her say it on Sunday night, but then I couldn't get her to repeat it. Then Monday night, she started saying it over and over again! It was so exciting! She has been saying "Dada" for at least two months now. We've been practicing saying "momma" but generally she would just smile and laugh at me when I would try and get her to say it. I guess she finally decided she could do it on her own! I know that she probably does not associate the words "momma" and "dada" with Max and I, but just hearing her say them is pretty cool. Now that she can say them, it won't belong before she definitely knows what the words mean!

How cute am I?

Toys...

It's funny how babies seem to be so fascinated by the simplist things. I found some plastic bowls I had gotten for a shower gift the other day and was taking them out of the package and Bre decided she wanted to see what they were. She began playing with those bowls as if they were the greatest things ever invented! She played by herself with those bowls for like 15 or 20 minutes. It was the cutest thing ever!

Welcome Kaden Michael Jenkins!

My friend Tena gave birth to a beautiful baby boy in July! We got to meet him for the first time while we were in Missouri! He was only three weeks old and cute as a button! Here are pics of Kaden:

Congratulations Tena and TJ! He is adorable!!!!
