Easter eggs and cupcakes...

What a great day! Today was family fun day! While Max was at the gym this morning, I colored eggs for Easter with Bre for the first time ever! She had so much fun picking out colors and decorating her eggs. Then we made Easter cupcakes with pink frosting and jelly beans on top. Bre got to help mix the batter, frost the cupcakes, and decorate the cupcakes with jellybeans. After Max got home from the gym we all got ready and we took Bre for a surprise...to the movies and she got to pick the movie. Of course she picked "Hop". She has been asking about seeing that movie for weeks. We all loved it! Then it was off to grab a bite to eat at Chapps (a local hamburger place that is delicious). Bre and Max were very tired at this point, so it was home for some naps. After naps, we went outside and played some baseball and soccer. We finished the day by each of having one of the delicious cupcakes we had made earlier in the day.

Learning some baseball...

Max got Bre a baseball bat and ball for Easter and my mom got her a glove. Bre was really excited to try out some baseball. She has never played before so it was her first time throwing and trying to hit the ball. She needed a few lessons on which foot to step with when throwing and how to hold the bat, but once she got it I was really impressed with her! She hit the ball several times when we pitched it to her and even pitched to her daddy! She amazes me everyday at how athletic she is. I think we have a lot of sports ahead of us and I am excited about it!

Soccer Fun!!!!

Breanna is playing soccer for the first time this year and she is LOVING it! We always knew she would be a good athlete (call it parent bais or call it genetics, or both!). Anyway, the first game or two she was still trying to figure it all out, but by the 3rd game, you could tell she was getting it. By the four game, you couldn't hold her back! She definitely has her parents aggressive and competative nature! She is amazing! I was so proud of her the first time I saw her being aggressive and really trying to get the ball from the other team. In her fourth game she scored 3 goals all by herself (half of her team's points). Now I know, you might say they are just 3 and 4 year-olds and are just out to have fun, but in this family we play to win! Her jersey number is #8, she wanted the #11 after her Uncle Lloyd, but sadly the numbers only went up to 8.
