Summer Basketball

This summer Bre played basketball for the first time. It was quite an experience. First of all she was one of 3 girls in the whole league (there were only 2 teams)! Second, I guess I didn't realize how aggressive 3 and 4 year old boys could be! The first game Max and I weren't sure this was going to work since one little boy tackled everybody that had the ball and two boys literally got into an all out fight. However, we decided to stick with it and see how Bre would do. At first she was a little bewildered by the boys, but as the season progressed she got more and more into it. Some games she would just prance up and down the court, not seeming to care if she was involved or not. Other times she gave it all out effort. The last game was a dramatic difference from the first. Bre seemed to have gotten the overall concept and was hanging in there with the boys. She scored 4 points in her last game and learned the art of defense! All in all, I am glad we stuck with it. Those 3 and 4 year olds are so cute and super fun to watch. It was amazing to see how much they all changed in the matter of a couple months! What's up next for Miss Bre...fall soccer of course!
