15 Months

Breanna turned 15 months old on Friday. I can hardly believe it! She had her 15 month check-up with the pediatrician and here are her stats:
Weight: 27.6 lbs
Height: 32 in
Head: 19 in
She's a growing girl! The doctor said she looked good. She did have a little bit of a viral infection in her throat, but the dr said that would all clear within a couple of days. She had a little bit of fear due to the virus, but she handled it all very well. She has been sick quite a bit lately, hopefully we are just getting it all out of our system! The doctor said she wasn't worried about Breanna and she is very healthy. Since Breanna was almost 14 months old she has had her first 2 ear infections, almost had pneumonia, and then the virus in her throat. The pneumonia bit was quite a scare, but it turned out just to be a viral infection in her lungs. The doctor said if we would have waited to bring her in any longer it would have turned into pneumonia, but we caught it early. We got to take her to the hospital for ex-rays of her lungs and got to buy a breathing machine during the whole process. FUN, FUN! I was so thankful that it wasn't pneumonia.
At 15 months, Bre is a ball of energy. She doesn't sit still longer than 15 seconds (unless Sesame Street is on) and she LOVES to be outside. She is quite the explorer and enjoys causing mischief. Her vocabulary is increasing everyday. She says: momma, dada, nana, papa, bubb bubbl (bubbles), all gone, all done, bye bye, nye nye (night night), yes, and woof woof. She makes attempts at many other words, but that is her vocabulary for the most part.
Breanna definitely keeps us on our toes and life is more interesting with her in it!

More noteworthy pics

Here are some more pics I wanted to share because they are just so darn cute!
Bre loves to read books! On this day I found her with books all around her and she was occupied with reading for at least 30 minutes. She is constantly bringing me and Max books to read. Her favorite book is a Dora the Explorer book.
Max and Bre before church. I'm so lucky to have such a handsome husband and beautiful daughter!
How cute is she!!! I love this dress on Bre!

Six Flags Over Texas

Yesterday we had a family outing to Six Flags. This was Bre's first amusement park! My company has an annual employee picnic every year, and this year they decided to have it at Six Flags. It was a great deal (free admission, free parking, a meal, and free drinks all day). Max and I decided to make a family day out of it, so we invited his mom, brother, and sister along. We all had a great time! Bre got to ride her first rides. The first ride she rode with Mommy. It was a ride that looked like hot air balloons and the balloons spun around (kind of like the tea cups at Disney World, but these went up in the air too). Bre loved it! She is such a little dare devil! She squealed with delight the entire time and tried to help make the balloon spin around. The second ride she rode with Daddy. It was an airplane ride that goes up and down. She seemed to enjoy this one too, but held on tight to Daddy because it went a little fast. Overall the day was a success and Bre was entirely pooped out by the end!

Sweet girl...

Here are some recent pics of Bre that I thought were pretty cute!
Bre's first introduction to cool whip--she loved it! More cool whip!
Bre is having fun painting Daddy with pudding!
Pudding is more fun to use a finger paint, than for eating! Just being cute!

1st Mavs Game

On Easter Sunday, we got the opportunity to go to a Mavs game. We have a friend who has season tickets and he wasn't using them so he offered them to us. This was Bre's first Mavs game. She seemed to really enjoy it and loved all the music, sights, sounds, and french fries! She did very well, despite not have a nap all day! As you will see in the pictures, we did let her have her pacifier toward the end of the game when she began to get restless. We usually don't let her have her pacifier, unless she is going down for a nap or bedtime. The game was great. The Mavs played the Spurs. Mavs lost, but it was close one. Dirk got hurt and was out the 2nd half, so that didn't help them any. Here are some pics:
Bre stood on my lap and danced most of the game!
Bre's more interested in seeing her self in the camera than actually getting her picture taken.
Here's our horrible attempt at a family picture!

Easter

So I know I'm a little late getting around to this post, but better late than never. Things have been hectic around here!

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday! We went to church in the morning and the service was terrific. Bre looked so adorable in her Easter dress (despite the fact that she still had a little bit of a black eye--we aren't sure what happened, she woke up with it one day, we're thinking she may have hit it on the corner of her crib). Nana and Uncle Lloyd joined us for church, which was a special treat. We were originally going to go hunt eggs after the church service; however, plans changed and we had the opportunity to go to a Mavs game and we couldn't say no! Luckily, Bre had the chance to hunt for Easter eggs a couple days prior to Easter at daycare!! That was a blast. Max and I both got a chance to go to her egg hunt at school because it was at 8:45am. Bre had a blast. She wasn't sure what to do at first, but caught on quickly. She had a little trouble letting go of the eggs and putting them in her basket. She just wanted to hold on to them! I forgot the camera that morning so I didn't get any pics of her and her basket. I got some good ones on Easter Sunday after church though!

Pretty girl!

New Daycare...

Well we decided that Children's Lighthouse was just too expensive for us to keep paying for Bre's daycare. So here is our alternative daycare option. What do you think?????

***Please note, this is just a joke! We wouldn't use this as any form or child daycare! Repeat, this is just a joke!!! NO CHILDREN OR ANIMALS WERE HARMED DURING THIS PHOTO SHOOT!
No really, Bre is obsessed with Sadie's kennel. She loves to go into the laundry room and open and close the door. On this particular day, she decided to try out the kennel for herself and the next thing I knew she was inside the kennel. I couldn't resist taking the picture. She loved it! She did not want to come out!
