This past weekend I found out that a friend of mine lost her baby. She was 9 months pregnant and days away from delivery. Apparently her placenta failed and the baby did not survive. After hearing this news, I was absolutely devastated. To go 9 months carrying a child and then to loose them, would be the most horrible thing that could possibly ever happen. The first thing I did after hearing was to send up a prayer to God for strength for my friend and her family.
This tragedy makes me realize how truly blessed I am to have such a healthy and happy baby. It also makes stop and think just about how precious human life really is. Every life is a miracle and it is easy to forget how fragile life is until it is lost. I don't know what I would do if something ever happened to Breanna. I am so thankful for each and everyone of my family and friends.
My hope is that anyone who reads this will also say a prayer for my friend and that God will give her the strength to get through these rough times.
